OLMA Summer Assignments

Summer assignments are designed to help you stay sharp, continue learning, and prepare for success in the 2025-2026 school year.

All students must complete Summer Reading and Summer Math Assignments. Students enrolling in AP Courses for the 2025-2026 school year are also required to complete summer assignments. Please carefully review the summer work required for your anticipated courses below.

If you have any questions, please email Ms. Krogman ms.krogman@olmanj.org

Please check your Summer Reading books based on your Literature course for next year. For incoming Freshmen, if you were at Admitted Students Day, you received a copy of The Secret Life of Bees in your bags! Students will be tested on several details of the book during the first week of school in September. Please click here for the list of Summer Reading books, instructions on note-taking, and items that you should know about your assigned book(s).

Math Summer Assignments will be completed on DeltaMath. The goal of summer math assignments is to ensure that you are prepared for the 2025–2025 school year with key math concepts and skills. All summer assignments will become available on July 1st at 8:00 am and are due on August 31st at 11:59 pm.

For students planning to enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, your summer assignments are designed to give you a head start on the rigorous curriculum. Please click each of the links below and read the information about the course and to obtain the Google Classroom code where you can access the required summer assignments. Please remember that AP courses are challenging, so start early and pace yourself. The more effort you put in over the summer, the easier it will be to dive into the curriculum come fall.

IMPORTANT: If the Summer Assignments are not completed by the deadlines given on Google Classroom, you will be asked to drop the course as AP courses pick up immediately where the summer work leaves off. If teachers have not yet posted work, please check back after the July 4th weekend.
