2019 NEWS

May 22, 2019 — What a game!  OLMA battled Rutgers Prep in New Brunswick, NJ in the second round of playoffs.  The final score was 5-4 Rutgers in 12 innings! We didn’t get the win, but boy did we surprise Rutgers Prep! What a fight! What a great season! You ladies are amazing!! Fabulous job and congratulations, seniors!  Hold your heads up high, ladies!

May 7, 2019 — OLMA wins the OLMA Invitational Tournament for the second year in a row and pitcher, Nicolette Merlino is named CAL Athlete of the week! This past weekend, Nic allowed just three earned runs in 24 innings pitched, striking out 18. She threw a complete game in a 4-2 win over Cedar Creek and threw a six-hit shutout against Burlington City. Can you say, AWESOME?!

May 4, 2019 — We are so blessed to be among the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy every day. Sr. Ambrogina threw out the first pitch at yesterday’s Spring Fest. She is a ROCK STAR. 💚💛

April 4, 2019 — OLMA Softball came away with the win at last night’s game against Atlantic Christian.  Players, Elena Anglani, Olivia Stefano, and Alina Colon each had three hits.  Way to go!

April 3, 2019 — While last night’s home opener didn’t end in a win, the girls played great and held their own against a fierce competitor.  Senior shortstop, Elena Anglani began her season with a home run!  Check out the video to the right for highlights of the game.

April 2, 2019 — It is Opening Day for OLMA Softball as the team gets set to play Middle Township at home at 4 PM.  We are ready to go and one of the teams to watch this season.  Take a look at what Coach Hagerty has to say in the Press of Atlantic City roundup story linked here.

2018 NEWS

  • On Wednesday, May 9, Tori Smith scored her 100th career hit and lead the team to a 6-1 victory!
  • OLMA Softball celebrated Senior Night on Wednesday, May 9.   Seniors and co-captains, Morgan Hagerty and Tori Smith enjoyed some well-deserved praise and attention from teammates.   Morgan will attend Widener University and Tori will attend Drexel University this fall.
  • On Saturday, April 28, Morgan Hagerty scored her 100th career hit and 500th strikeout!  A double dose of congratulations to you!
  • So far this season, OLMA Softball has secured two tournament wins — Spring Fest Invitation and Pitman Tournament.
