It makes sense that a true team player is the leader of all 15 of OLMA's athletic teams. Matt Lenguadoro has been the Athletic Director at OLMA since 2017. His role has expanded to include Driver's Ed Club leader, and this past fall, Mr. Lenguardoro added the role of Director of Facilities to his resume. Mr. Lenguadoro takes it all in stride, acknowledging that OLMA is a special place, and he is just happy to be a part of it.
"Everyone roots for one another here at OLMA," Mr. Lenguadoro said. "I have been in education my entire career, and you truly do not find that mentality at many other places."
As Athletic Director, Mr. Lenguadoro is responsible for managing and advancing our school’s rapidly growing athletics program, which currently consists of 15 competitive sports with more on the horizon. As Director of Facilities, Mr. Lenguadoro works with the maintenance team to keep OLMA's buildings in top form. He is pretty excited about the new Villagers Athletics Center (VAC).
"This facility is such a wonderful addition to our campus," Mr. Lenguadoro said. He explained that the original vision grew into something more than he could have imagined thanks to generous parent support and expertise. "The equipment is state of the art, and the overall feeling of the space is welcoming for both students and faculty," he said. Just this week, the winter track team had the chance to use the new facility. With Mr. Lenguadoro's dual role in athletics and facilities, the VAC represents his dedication to continuing to make OLMA a special place.
Thank you for all that you do, Mr. Lenguadoro!
