Opening Downtown Cookies in Haddonfield, NJ, last December, Morgan took her passion of perfecting recipes to make the best oversized cookies and launched her new career path. Starting a new business during 2020 was no easy feat, but Morgan found a way to make it happen. “Motivation, creativity, perseverance, and innovation. These are the traits that were instilled in me by OLMA’s faculty, staff, and students during my four years there -- traits that have been critical as I begin my journey as an entrepreneur," explains Morgan. The ingredients to her success involve believing in herself, a dash of business acumen mixed with bravery, and her family’s cookie dough recipe. Morgan’s educational foundation at OLMA taught her to always be prepared for the unexpected and to persevere. “From classes that challenged my way of thinking to the mental toughness earned from early morning swim practices, OLMA is where these traits were solidified and enhanced, and I cannot thank the teachers enough for cultivating a risk-takers mindset.” Here at OLMA, we believe the launching pad for success stories like Morgan’s starts with a supportive community like ours, so let’s cheer her on. You can follow her at @downtowncookies_nj, order cookies online at www.downtowncookies.com or simply visit the shop in Haddonfield NJ on 123 Kings Highway East. Congratulations, Morgan!
