Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA) is a Catholic, accredited, college preparatory school for young women located in Newfield, NJ. OLMA empowers young women to lead a world of change and achieve their full potential. OLMA provides challenging academics and diverse extracurricular programs in an environment that promotes faith, sisterhood, achievement, leadership, and service.
Admission to the Academy is competitive and students are evaluated based upon five areas: application with essay; teacher recommendation; transcript; entrance exam; and interview. Our Lady of Mercy Academy offers college prep, honors and AP courses. Dual Credit is also available through various community colleges. Students take the seven following academic courses per year:
Theology: 4 years
English: 4 years
Mathematics: 4 years
History: 3 years
Science (with lab): 3 years
Foreign Language: 2 years
L2T: Leadership, Life Skills & Technology. L2T includes Brave Forward, Lifetime Fitness, and Public Speaking in Grade 9, followed by STEM and Business 101, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy, and Introduction to Computer Science in Grade 10.
Mini-Mester Courses: The OLMA Mini-Mester is a week-long experiential learning course that can include academic research, travel, service or leadership training. Students receive academic credit. Mini-Mester Courses are required for students in grades 9-11.
Accreditation: OLMA is accredited by Middle States Association of Secondary Schools & Colleges and are members of the National Catholic Education Association, the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools, and the National Coalition for Girls' Schools.

2017-2018 and prior: 4 Quarters, 2 Semesters Semester grades will be calculated as follows: Each quarter = 3/7; Exam grade = 1/7; Final grade + Average of both semesters.
OLMA has 15 competitive sports: soccer, field hockey, volleyball, tennis, cross country, cheer, bowling, swim, basketball, indoor track, lacrosse, track & field, softball, golf, and crew.
