Sisterhood

Welcome to the Sisterhood

Our Lady of Mercy Academy is a sisterhood that offers unconditional acceptance in an environment that celebrates our differences and the unique gifts that God has given us.

Students love it here  — and it shows. Daily life is vibrant and full of activity as students enjoy a level of comfort that makes trying new things easy to do. Throughout the school year, students participate in Sisterhood Days, iBlock, dances, Prom, spirit weeks, travel, holiday celebrations, and more.

The OLMA Sisterhood spans generations and reaches far beyond the halls of OLMA.  Students join us as girls and leave four years later as mature, self-aware, well-spoken young women who are ready to make their mark. No matter what they do, or where they go, OLMA graduates are forever bonded as sisters in faith and friendship.

The next time you visit, ask to see the Sisterhood Book. Established in 2012 in honor of OLMA’s 50th Anniversary, it is signed by all OLMA sisters as part of Mary Day — a celebration held just before graduation.

At OLMA, the bond of sisterhood begins even before you step on campus for the first day of freshman year.  Just before the new school year begins, OLMA seniors host a Welcome Event.  It features games, round table discussions, and a even a visit from Mr. Softie.

Whether you join OLMA as a freshman or transfer in, you will be assigned a senior mentor.  She is your rock and is your go-to person all year long.

Sisterhood Ceremony

During the first few months of school, the freshman and senior class come together in celebration of the Holy Eucharist and sisterhood.  The freshmen received special bracelets from their senior mentor as a symbol of their official welcome into the sisterhood.

OLMA Sisterhood Days

OLMA girls are as competitive as they are kind.  On Sisterhood Days, we come together as families and battle for the gold during OLMA's very own Olympic games.
