"You have all created an amazing family at OLMA! While the OLMA family may not physically be together right now, just like our family, those bonds are never broken!"Megan HargraveOLMA Parent
"Despite the instability in our world, Lily looks forward to the stability that OLMA has offered her. She continues to thrive with her classes and the amazing young ladies in her friend group. This is another reason why sending her to OLMA is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! OLMA has been a gift to our daughter in so many ways and weKendra LemauroOLMA Parent
are so grateful!"
"We are incredibly impressed with the level of continued education being provided, during this unprecedented time. The foresight and foreword thinking of the administration is the best -- bar none! Today's young ladies are tomorrow's leading women and we are so blessed that OLMA is a part of our daughter's path and journey!"Renee and Rocco MililloOLMA Parents
"I'm loving online learning. With Zoom, I can actually see my teacher and classmates, so it feels like a regular class. Academically, we haven't missed a beat."Ava MelloClass of 2023
"I feel so fortunate to be part of OLMA right now. While many schools are struggling, we were ready to go on day one thanks to the training we received and the program we have in place."Stephanie CallahanOLMA Math Teacher
"We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to you and the wonderful teachers/staff at OLMA, for such a seamless transition to online learning. From a parent’s perspective, what OLMA has done and continues to do to instill education to our girls is unbelievable. We have spoken with other parents at different schools and they are struggling with the online process. Our girls will be equipped to face any obstacle after all the craziness has settled."Jennifer & Frank SchwartzOLMA Parents
"Working in a completely different way and without a studio full of tools forces us to be more resourceful and to think outside the box when it comes to educating our students. I've found some wonderful resources that I will continue using even when we're back in the classroom. This experience is helping us all realize just how much we are capable of doing. I think that's a good thing."Joan HelmsOLMA Art Teacher
"I can not tell you how impressed I am with how quickly the school has come together to keep our girls on track, I love that they have a schedule to stick to and work to complete in a timeframe that is reasonable but a little demanding. With all the craziness I can’t tell you how thankful I am that they feel connected and are busy enough not to sit and worry about what’s really going on. The teachers have been great and their availability is amazing. "Mikilyn HilesOLMA Parent
"I miss seeing everyone in person every day, but the transition to online learning was flawless. I'm also using the teachers' office hours to get help when I need it. For me, it's the same as staying after class for a few minutes."LilyAnna LemauroClass of 2023
"This is something I never expected, but as a teacher, I've learned to adapt to anything. It's what we do. Every class is different, so we never teach the same thing the same way. We learn to be flexible and to teach in whatever way best meets the needs of our students. Right now, that's online. While it is a challenge and a lot of work, it's also kind of fun."Susan CavagnaroOLMA History and Sociology Teacher
"I like the change to online learning. It's forcing us to learn new things, which is exciting. We are using Zoom a lot, even on days when we don't normally have live lectures. The teachers are very understanding and always checking in about our work as well as how we're feeling."Adrianna DodgeClass of 2021
Ensuring the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority at Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA). The declaration of a National Emergency by the President of the United States as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated social distancing efforts by public and private entities.
To aid in this effort OLMA has transitioned to online learning. School will operate remotely for the remainder of the year. All extracurricular activities, including athletics and special events, will be suspended during this time period. Students will not be permitted in the school facilities or on the athletic grounds.
While we are in the midst of unchartered waters, we are prepared and together will weather whatever comes our way. I appreciate your cooperation and ask you to join me in praying for everyone worldwide who has been affected by this virus. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates here, via email, and on social media.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also reach out to your teachers at any time. We are here for you and determined to See the Good during this unprecedented time in our nation’s history.
