It’s hard to believe that we’ve almost finished the month of January! Our campus is full of activity as seniors hear from colleges and juniors get ready for their turn at the planning process. OLMA’s very own, Tia DuPont, offically sealed a deal with Miami to play soccer this fall. Tia’s family, OLMA sisters, teammates, coaches, and even her dog, Cooper, were on hand to celebrate!

Held at the Ocean Breeze Indoor Track Complex in Staten Island, NY, the Lady Villagers had a successful day. Iyanla Kollock won the 55 meter dash and finished 2nd in the 300 meter race in a tightly contested heat with a young lady from Union Catholic. Iyanla ran a personal best of 41.49 seconds (school record).
Grace Bernard set the new school record in the 600 meter race with a time of 2:05.04. Grace also ran 18 seconds faster than her previous best in the 1000 meter race.
Elizabeth Lam, Hope Viviani and Alina Colon also represented OLMA well on the track with very competitive showings in their individual races.
The next team event will be 2/18/17 for the NON-Public B State Championship.
